Therapy and coaching, wherever you land.
Therapy for burnout, anxiety, depression, grief, and addiction. Coaching for the decisions and pressure that come with demanding work.
If any of this sounds familiar
You’ve been thinking something needs to shift. You’re still keeping up. The work still gets done. But the things that used to work for you don’t quite work the same way anymore.
You’ve tried small changes already. Some stuck for a few weeks, then drifted. Others didn’t take at all. You’ve thought about reaching out for help before and held back. You worried what other people might think, and you weren’t sure what kind of help you needed or whether it would be any different from what you’ve already tried.
You also know this isn’t who you want to be. You can feel the gap between now and when you still had something left at the end of the day. Part of you has been ready to do something different.
Some of what I see is depression. The symptoms are there: low mood, low energy, not much interest in things you used to enjoy, trouble sleeping or concentrating. You still get through the day, but it feels heavy. Some of it is anxiety: feeling on edge, constant worry, hard to relax, and then wiped out by the end of the day.
Who I work with
Most of the people I work with are adults carrying significant responsibility. Some arrive with a named clinical concern; others just noticed they’re not quite themselves anymore. For some, the load has been building for years. For others, one recent event made it clear that handling it alone wasn’t working.
Therapy, coaching, and tools

Therapy
Clinical care for burnout, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and addiction.
About therapy →
Coaching
Goal-focused work on performance, decisions, transitions, and patterns you want to shift.
About coaching →Everything here is practical. It starts with understanding what’s actually happening for you. From there, we figure out what’s helping, what isn’t, and what to try instead. Whether you’re in therapy, coaching, or working through a tool on your own, you should leave with something useful for what you’re dealing with now and tools you can keep using when the next hard thing comes up.

Questions before you reach out
The first session is a starting place. We get a sense of what has been going on, you share what you want to, and we both get a feel for whether this is a good fit.
Therapy treats clinical conditions and is available in Michigan and Ohio, where I’m licensed. Coaching is for growth, performance, decisions, and transitions, and is available anywhere.
Yes, therapy creates a clinical record. What you tell me stays confidential, within the limits every therapist has. The full answer is in the FAQ.
There are two ways to see me: through Counseling Center of West Michigan with insurance, in Michigan only, or directly with Holliday Approach, self-pay with a superbill, which is a receipt you send to your insurer for out-of-network reimbursement. For therapy in Ohio, self-pay with a superbill is the only option. Insurance does not cover coaching. The plan list and details are in the FAQ.
